Where did the Arts and Crafts Kitchen Designs start

The movement of Arts and Crafts is said to have started in England.  And was not limited to the United States as it went international. The Arts and Crafts style spread from England to Europe and then North America.

Artists and Craftsmen such as Gustav Stickley and William Morris became notorious with the movement. The movement was influential in the writings of John Ruskin, and that emphasized the belief that art communicated an understanding of nature and rejected mechanization and standardization.

The value of an organic relationship between the worker and his natural environment was advocated by him. At this time, the world of craft labor was being destroyed by industrialization.

The style became more simple and straightforward with this as superfluous decoration was limited. Patterns imitated British fauna and flora. For design, architects drew on the vernacular of an area. Many architects were influenced by the traditions of the British countryside. Designers began hosting workshops reviving old craftsmanship techniques to qualify more workers to meet the demand.
